Here are some very happy hedgehogs from my visit to St. Peter’s Primary School Bishopsworth, Bristol. I spent the day there, held an assembly then visited all the different year groups.
I set a tricky task of bringing a hedgehog character I’ve been working on to life with pictures and names! Everyone worked really hard, including some of the teachers!
It was a lovely visit. Here are some of the wonderful results.
And here is some of the feedback I received about my visit. If you’d like me to come to your school, just get in touch!
“A lovely assembly with some wonderful ideas on how to inspire writing.”
“The story Kathryn read to the children in the workshop was lovely; she was really animated and engaging.”
She had a really nice manner with the children and made them feel special. The children loved making the masks and get really excited when they read story by Kathryn White now.”
“In nursery, we were really lucky to have Kathryn come into our class. It gave the children a fantastic opportunity to meet an author who helped them understand what an author is. The children really enjoyed the story, The Very Noisy Jungle and enjoyed making cheeky monkey masks afterwards.”
I’m very pleased to be holding an event at the Stratford Literary Festival on 27th March 2015.
I recently visited pupils at Bishops Lydeard Primary School in Taunton to kick-start National Share-A-Story Month!
I read and made masks with each year group and had a wonderful day with all of the children. You can read more about my time there over on the Somerset County Gazette.
All of the pupils at Shrewton Primary School presented me with a bag full of questions. I sat and counted each hand written one and was amazed to discover exactly 100.
